On a very warm but not particularly fast evening, defending champion Pat Lafford retained his 10-mile title, recording 24.25, with Alan Bigwood second in 25.50 and Simon Wheeler (riding his road bike following his recent TT bike failure) third in 26.36.  Pat was also fastest vet on standard with +2:39, Claire Newman fastest/only! lady in 27:24 and Dave England 1^st handicap 22:51 (actual 27:51).  Good to see Andy Stevens making a return to racing, his 29.49 a good effort on his gravel bike!

With rather a surfeit of local club events available this week, only 8 riders  faced the timekeeper, with Steve Wood, Antelope RT, fastest on the night in 24.07.

Following the event,  most of those racing  adjourned to the Waterloo Arms to enjoy a post-race meal and pint.
