There is also a social ride on the same day, meeting at the Gamekeeper pub at Woodlands for lunch at 12.00. The social ride will depart Redbridge at 9.30 and the Plaza Romsey at 10.00.

 2015 time Trials

The Crabwood CC 10 P311- 11th April.

Although it was a nice sunny day. There was a nasty cross wind, which on such an open flat course made the ride so much fun. The wind didn’t appear to trouble Aran Stanton who came past me so fast it made me feel like I was standing still. Unfortunately our event clashed with a Wiggle Sportive, which led to the Testers having to negotiate groups of slower riders, which did cause a few hold ups for some of our riders. I would like to thank Claire for all the hard work involved in organising the event, I would also like to thank the Timekeepers, marshals, tea ladies and pusher off for their help.

And Claire who was 1st lady (all the fast ones were absent) in a 1.8.40

The club would like to wish Mandy Wheeler(Simon’s Wife) a speedy recovery from her recent kidney and pancreas transplant.

I have heard that Vernon has almost completed his tour of the world….on his Tacx virtual trainer.

John O’Gaunt Inn

The John O Gaunt at Horsebridge has recently had a fire. I suspect we could have a twisted fire starter in the club, and the finger of suspicion points to a member who suffered food poisoning there a couple of years ago. Come on Pat own up.

Claire has yet again organised another CCC trip to the tour. Thank you Claire. We will be staying in an old renovated farmhouse near Barcelonnette. Where will be close to the highest pass in the Alps the Cime de la Bonette which at 23kms (14 miles) long up to a height of 2802 metres (9300ft) should prove to be a bit of a lung buster. I will let know in the next newsletter how we got on.
